HOLLY WOODMAN

Holly Woodman, ‘Viewing life through jaundice eyes’

Woodman’s artwork represents her personal odyssey and battle with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis which resulted in a Total Gastrectomy. One of her aims is to highlight how creative practice can be used as a technique that allows us to process, reflect and heal. Her work explores the relationship between the body and the themes of emotions and illness by challenging the traditional understanding of the correlations between emotions and colour. Woodman’s artworks generate tension through the use of orderly structures that have been inspired by symbolism, distorted space, and image removal.
As an artist, she is constantly on the lookout for new methods to transform daily experiences into creative interpretations. Strengthen her personal style, with an approach and output that are continuously shifting and evolving. Each endeavor tackled with absolute devotion and enthusiasm
