Abingdon Studios in partnership with Grundy Art Gallery delivered a series of Drawing sessions made available to people at varying stages in their personal and professional development as artists. After an overwhelming list of applicants, 15 individuals were invited onto the programme ranging from their 20’s-60’s and travelling regionally to Blackpool to take part.
Over four months the venues offered different approaches to drawing for people to experiment and trial new ways of working within their own artistic oeuvre.
Grundy Art Gallery offered participants traditional figurative drawing sessions with life models using various materials in response to the figure.
Abingdon Studios focused on the contemporary experimentation in drawing and or the abstract observational aspect of mark making.
