Dunno Dunno: Joseph Doubtfire

Dunno Dunno

Joseph Doubtfire

Public Preview, Saturday 6th July, 4-7 pm. Coinciding with Abingdon Studios Open Studios event

*06 July – 03 August 2024

Solo commission, Abingdon Studios Project Space.

Joseph Doubtfire unapologetically transforms the entire exhibition floor as an arena for shape, colour, form and material placement. Remnant materials have been collected over several years during the artist’s time as a lecturer, showing care and homage to the classroom as a space of inspiration and secondary income within the artist’s profile. The act of collaging the floor in this way can be read as disruptive of conventional spatial hierarchies, challenging viewers to reconsider their relationship with the material world and the fragments of daily life embedded within it.
Dunno Dunno promises to captivate audiences with a playful and poignant commentary on the quotidian realities of work-life balance.
