GENERAL STUDIO INFORMATION
Abingdon Studios aims to foster a critical and supportive community of artists. We offer 10 studio spaces and access to a dedicated Project Space (ASPS). All studio artists have access to the project space between exhibitions as well as access to shared resources such as a kitchen area and communal space with WI-FI access.
Prices range between £60 and £125, inclusive of all utilities, such as electricity, WI-FI, administration costs, building maintenance and rates. Please join our mailing list to keep up to date on studio availability in the future.
Any artist can apply for space at Abingdon Studios. We advertise studio availability through our mailing list, social media and wider networks. We accept applications from artists working in any medium and at any stage in their career.
APPLICATION
To apply for a studio please contact us with a selection of images of recent artworks (10 max), a brief statement on why you need a studio space and how you see it benefiting your artistic development and your contact information. All information should be contained in a single PDF document (10MB max). We can only respond to applications when studios are available but do encourage anyone interested to get in touch. Once we receive an application we will invite the applicant for an informal interview. Artists will be selected on the basis of their personal need for a studio, their artwork and most importantly the artist’s desire to contribute to the development of Abingdon Studios and the wider arts community and ecology in Blackpool as a whole.
